Our investment strategy is built on the same principles that guide our military: rigorous strategy, calculated risk management, and unwavering long-term vision. We focus on absolute capital preservation and sustainable dividend generation, ensuring your fund is shielded from short-term volatility while capturing long-term economic growth.
At LTAT, we are firm believers in sustainable long-term investing.
Our philosophy goes back to the investment objectives of the Fund and its members. As a pension fund, our goal is to provide sustainable long-term growth in the retirement savings of our members through the accumulation of consistent dividend returns and preservation of capital.
In this regard, LTAT’s investment policies, processes and practices continue to evolve to ensure the adoption of sound global best practices in the management of its investment portfolio. This includes institutionalizing disciplined investment governance and practices which combine top-down systematically driven decision-making with bottom-up active management and asset selection. LTAT’s investment process is based on fundamentally focused research and analysis.
LTAT’s investment portfolio spans across various asset classes and key sectors of the Malaysian economy.
Guided by the Strategic Asset Allocation Framework, the portfolio continues to be rebalanced towards achieving an optimum portfolio mix that is in line with the investment objectives and risk tolerance limits of the fund.
Today, LTAT has exposures across public and private equity, real estate, fixed income and money market asset classes. Key sector exposures include financial services, property, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, heavy industries, plantations, manufacturing, construction, technology, consumer and industrial products.
LTAT continues to uphold the trust placed in it by contributors for sustainable financial savings after retirement. Since LTAT was established in 1972, the LTAT fund has grown through good corporate governance and the implementation of a long-term strategic plan.
Despite facing a challenging economic environment, LTAT remains committed to executing the strategic plan that has been laid out, thereby enabling the LTAT fund to exceed RM13 billion in 2025.
Total fund size as at 31 December 2025, diversified across listed equity, private equity, property and a wholly owned investment group.
